This role is well suited to someone who: - Enjoys working outdoors in dynamic environments - Is eager to learn and take initiative - Values teamwork and safety - Wants to build long‑term technical depth in environmental consulting Your Key Responsibilities As part of the SIR team, your work will include a diverse mix of field and office responsibilities, such as: - Supporting and implementing Phase I, II, and III ESAs, Stage 1 PSI, Stage 2 PSI/DSI, and remediation programs - Conducting soil, soil vapour, sediment, groundwater, and surface water sampling - Developing site‑specific health and safety plans and helping lead field programs with safety as the top priority - Producing clear, accurate field notes and documentation that meet data quality objectives - Supervising and coordinating with subcontractors (e.g., drillers, hydrovac operators, utility locators, heavy equipment operators) - Assisting with BC Contaminated Sites Regulation applications, including Approvals in Principle and Certificates of Compliance - Managing and organizing field data using specialized equipment and software - Supporting project managers with scopes, budgets, schedules, and field logistics - Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams across Stantec Canada, including geotechnical, water resources, atmospheric sciences, and indoor environments groups - Actively contributing to—and strengthening—a strong health and safety culture You’ll be exposed to a wide range of site conditions, regulatory frameworks, and technical challenges—accelerating your learning curve and professional development. ### Qualifications Your Capabilities and Credentials You’re an enthusiastic early‑career environmental professional who’s ready to learn, contribute, and grow.
