Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Laravel/PHP Full-Stack Developer to join the development team of a growing fintech platform. The ideal candidate will take ownership of an existing production system, improving its stability, maintaining payment and third-party integrations, supporting deployments, and working within a structured Git and release workflow. You will collaborate closely with a Flutter developer and a Technical Project Manager as part of a small, focused engineering team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and improve the Laravel web application and backend APIs
  • Review the existing codebase and resolve technical and security issues
  • Manage MySQL databases, queues, scheduled jobs and system integrations
  • Support payment, remittance and financial-service integrations
  • Handle Linux server deployment, configuration, monitoring and backups
  • Implement audit logs, access controls and application-security improvements
  • Document the system architecture, environment setup and deployment process
  • Work with the Flutter developer and Technical Project Manager
  • Use feature branches, pull requests, code reviews and CI/CD processes

Requirements

  • Strong experience with PHP and Laravel
  • REST API development and integration
  • MySQL database design and optimisation
  • Linux server administration and application deployment
  • Git, GitHub and pull-request workflows
  • Secure handling of environment variables, credentials and API keys
  • Experience with payment gateways or fintech platforms is highly desirable
  • Ability to work with an existing codebase and provide clear technical documentation
