**Job description**
In AI&Analytics Solutions team, we want to ensure that we’re bringing smart decision making (human augmentation or automated) to the forefront of our processes/journeys by establishing a data and experimentation culture that could ultimately become a competitive advantage in today’s fast-changing world.
Do you have a passion for uncovering insights from data and turning them into impactful solutions? Are you excited to create business value out of data?
**As Machine Learning Engineer - Data Scientist on our team, you will:**
- Work closely with business stakeholders to understand and frame their challenges as analytical problems.
- Apply machine learning, statistical methods, and optimization techniques to develop innovative solutions that drive business impact.
- Design, build, and evaluate predictive and prescriptive models, ensuring their reliability and robustness.
- Fine-tune, adapt, and evaluate open-weight Large Language Models (LLMs) and Vision-Language Models (VLMs) for enterprise use cases, leveraging techniques such as supervised fine-tuning, parameter-efficient tuning (LoRA/QLoRA), instruction tuning, and model evaluation.
- Lead the end-to-end lifecycle of ML products: from ideation and prototyping to deployment and ongoing evaluation in production.
- Collaborate with fellow Data Scientists to share knowledge, best practices, and continuously improve our methodologies.
- Ensure the quality and performance of your solutions through rigorous testing and continuous monitoring post-deployment.
- Contribute to our data science community by developing reusable assets, sharing your expertise, and participating in innovation initiatives.
**Profile**
As Machine Learning Engineer – Data Scientist, you have:
- At least 2 years of experience as a Data Scientist/ML engineer or a similar analytical role.
- Master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, Physics, Computer Science).
- Strong practical knowledge of machine learning, statistics, and optimization techniques, with hands-on experience in applying them to real-world problems. Experience in developing, evaluating, and deploying end-to-end data science solutions.
- Hands-on experience with foundation models, including fine-tuning, adapting, evaluating, and deploying open-weight Large Language Models (LLMs) and/or Vision-Language Models (VLMs).
- Familiarity with modern GenAI frameworks and techniques such as Hugging Face, Transformers, PEFT/LoRA, model serving, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and LLM evaluation methodologies.
- Proficiency in Python and common data science and machine learning libraries.
- Familiarity with cloud computing environments and MLOps/LLMOps practices.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Fluent in English, as well as French or Dutch
And you are also:
- Passionate about solving business problems with data and analytics.
- Outcome-focused, able to balance technical excellence with business needs.
- Curious and eager to continuously learn and experiment with new techniques.
- Collaborative and thrive in team environments.
- Proactive, analytical, and solution-oriented.
