Job Description

Mid-States Distributing ("Mid-States") is the leading Farm, Ranch and Home Retail Cooperative, owned by 34 independent Farm, Ranch & Home retailers operating over 800 stores in 34 states and 9 Canadian provinces with combined annual sales in excess of $7.5 billion. As a talented Full Stack Developer, you will be working on both large and small projects — sometimes standalone and other times integrated with CRM and ERP systems. Mid-States places a tremendous amount of emphasis on creating a unique and positive company culture, valuing high-energy people who like to work hard. Remote work is available with occasional office visits required.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain web-based applications for the company's different initiatives
Develop both back-end services and front-end UIs
Design and develop APIs adhering to modern best practices
Design database and application structures that allow applications to scale
Assist with the design and deployment of the full stack
Work directly with company executives, the development team, and other IT members
Contribute to and participate in the IT committee

Requirements

5 years of web development experience
Strong experience with Laravel and/or C# API/MVC frameworks
Experience with GIT, VSTS, Bitbucket, or other repository systems
Proficiency with VueJS/Angular, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, AJAX, and Bootstrap
Experience with MySQL and MSSQL databases
Experience with AWS
Experience with Quasar and Electron frameworks (not required but very helpful)
Ability to work primarily remotely with occasional in-office availability
Self-motivated and able to work independently as an in-house developer
