# Mobile App Test Automation Engineer Location: Remote Experience: 5+ Years ## About the Role We are seeking a skilled Mobile App Test Automation Engineer to join our Quality Assurance team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automated test solutions for both iOS and Android applications while ensuring high-quality software releases. You will work closely with developers, product managers, and QA engineers throughout the software development lifecycle to deliver reliable, scalable, and high-performing mobile applications. ## Key Responsibilities - Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and test suites for iOS and Android applications. - Perform manual testing, including functional, regression, exploratory, smoke, and usability testing. - Create, execute, and maintain test plans, test cases, and defect reports using JIRA and Xray. - Develop and maintain no-code/low-code automation scripts using visual automation platforms. - Write and enhance Java-based automation code for custom testing requirements, API validation, and integration testing. - Configure and maintain WireMock environments for API mocking and service virtualization. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify, reproduce, and validate defects throughout the development lifecycle. - Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, estimation, stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives. - Integrate automated test execution into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous testing. - Document testing strategies, automation frameworks, and QA best practices to promote knowledge sharing within the team. ## Required Qualifications - 5+ years of experience in mobile application testing with a strong focus on test automation for iOS and/or Android. - Strong understanding of software testing principles, test design techniques, defect lifecycle, and SDLC/STLC. - Hands-on experience with manual testing methodologies, including exploratory and regression testing. - Experience using JIRA for defect tracking and Xray for test management and reporting. - Experience with one or more no-code/low-code automation platforms such as Sofy.ai, Maestro, TestProject, Katalon, or similar. - Hands-on experience configuring and using WireMock for API mocking and service virtualization. - Working knowledge of Java for developing automation scripts and custom testing utilities. - Excellent verbal and written English communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. ## Preferred Qualifications - Experience with mobile automation frameworks such as Appium or Espresso. - Familiarity with cloud-based or self-hosted mobile device farms for parallel test execution. - Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar tools. - Exposure to AI-assisted test automation or intelligent test maintenance solutions. - Experience testing or mocking GraphQL APIs. - Familiarity with Docker or containerized test environments. ## Tools & Technologies - Test Management: JIRA, Xray - Mobile Automation: Sofy.ai, Appium (preferred), Maestro, TestProject, Katalon - API Mocking: WireMock - Programming: Java - Platforms: iOS, Android - Version Control: Git - CI/CD: Jenkins, GitHub Actions (or similar) ABOUT ISHIR ISHIR is a digital innovation and enterprise AI services provider.
