Job Description

Niktor Inc is hiring a Java Full Stack Developer for a 6+ month contract engagement with a client in Cary, NC. This role calls for a hands-on senior engineer who can design, build, and operate complex cloud-based systems using a modern Java and JavaScript stack, working within an Agile/DevOps environment and collaborating cross-functionally to deliver enterprise-scale distributed web and mobile applications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and operate complex cloud-based enterprise systems
  • Develop REST APIs and microservices using Java and Spring Boot
  • Build front-end applications using ReactJS and Remix
  • Work with Node.js, Groovy, and JavaScript across the stack
  • Containerize and orchestrate services using Docker and Kubernetes
  • Design and manage SQL and NoSQL database solutions, with MongoDB preferred
  • Implement authentication and cloud security best practices
  • Maintain CI/CD pipelines within an Agile/DevOps/Lean workflow
  • Provide cross-functional technical leadership and organize work across teams
  • Apply application logging and monitoring using tools like AppDynamics or Splunk

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in software development
  • Strong hands-on experience with Node.js, Groovy, Java/JavaScript, ReactJS, Remix, Java, and Spring Boot
  • Experience building, delivering, and operating complex cloud-based systems
  • Knowledge of API development, JSON, and REST principles
  • Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and orchestration
  • Proficiency with SQL and NoSQL databases, MongoDB preferred
  • Understanding of cloud security best practices and authentication processes
  • Proven CI/CD, Agile, and DevOps/Lean experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong SDLC knowledge and comparable methodologies
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to organize, motivate, and lead cross-functional teams
  • Local candidates in the Cary, NC area only
