Job Description

Noetix Systems is hiring a Mainframe Lead Developer to add value across multiple stages of the software development lifecycle for a 12-month onsite engagement in Omaha, NE. The candidate will create detailed design artifacts, independently develop and review COBIL/JCL/DB2/CICS/VSAM code, and contribute to go-live planning while acting as a prompt, effective liaison with stakeholders. Exposure to AI-assisted development tools (VS Code, Devin) and the Credit Card domain is a strong plus.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute across multiple stages of the software development lifecycle
  • Create detailed design artifacts including program specifications and test plans
  • Independently develop and review Mainframe code
  • Contribute to the go-live plan
  • Provide effective and prompt liaison with stakeholders

Requirements

  • 8-10+ years of hands-on experience with Mainframe COBOL, JCL, DB2, CICS, and VSAM
  • Must be able to interview face-to-face and work onsite in Omaha, NE
  • No sponsorship candidates required (must be authorized to work without sponsorship)
  • Available to start ASAP for a 12-month contract
  • Hands-on experience with VS Code, Devin, and AI models is a plus
  • Credit Card domain experience is a plus
  • Experience using AI automation/Devin to migrate legacy systems preferred
