Job Description

As an Optoelectronic Manufacturing Test Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing our optoelectronics production testing processes. As an Optoelectronic Manufacturing Test Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing our optoelectronics production testing processes. Your responsibilities will include supporting system card (transmission blades, optical amplifiers and routers, controllers) testing at our contract manufacturers. Proficiency in data analysis tools like SQL and JMP is essential, along with a solid understanding of optical communication and electrical/optical test fundamentals. Familiarity with optical and electrical test equipment and experience with vb.net, National Instruments Test Stand are highly advantageous. ### Responsibilities - First line Nokia test engineering support for our contract manufacturers solving tester and product issues - Tester training and deployment at our contract manufacturers - Yield analysis, test time reduction, stability and robustness improvements and bonepile reduction. - Utilize SQL and JMP for advanced data analysis, reporting, and test result intepretation. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance test capabilities and share best practices. - Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to optical and electrical test equipment, ensuring smooth operations. - Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements in optoelectronics to incorporate innovative manufacturing testing techniques. - Support production transfers to other factories - Test time reduction/test coverage optimization - Test enhancement (i.e. retest, pretest, autodetection, auto-routing) - yields, to improve capacity and transformation cost - OS upgrades compatibility with test SW ### Qualifications You have: - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field. - Minimum 3-5 years of experience in optoelectronics product validation and testing, with a focus on optical communication and manufacturing. - Proficiency in data analysis tools, particularly SQL and JMP, for efficient data handling and interpretation. - Strong understanding of optical communication principles and electrical/optical test fundamentals, ensuring accurate test execution. - Familiarity with optical and electrical test equipment, including their calibration and maintenance procedures. - Experience with vb.net or similar programming languages for test automation, enhancing efficiency and accuracy. - Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, enabling effective troubleshooting and decision-making. - Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and prioritize tasks effectively. - Effective communication and collaboration skills, fostering a positive and productive work environment. - Willingness to continuously learn and adapt to new technologies and industry practices, ensuring professional growth. - Scripts to reduce downtime, improve yields and tester efficiency. - Troubleshooting tools - improve debug turnaround, cost savings. - Alternative equipment sourcing - cost reduction, capex avoidance. - Experience with yield reporting/analysis tools.. - Experience with GR & R & test stability study and yield studies. - Experience in developing new equipment drivers. ### About the Team Some of our benefits: - Flexible and hybrid working schemes - A minimum of 90 days of Maternity and Paternity Leave, with the option to return to work within a year following the birth or adoption of a child (based on eligibility) - Life insurance to all employees to provide peace of mind and financial security - Well-being programs to support your mental and physical health - Opportunities to join and receive support from Nokia Employee Resource Groups (NERGs) - Employee Growth Solutions to support your personalized career & skills development - Diverse pool of Coaches & Mentors to whom you have easy access - A learning environment which promotes personal growth and professional development - for your role and beyond [Learn about additional benefits in specific countries](https://www.nokia.com/about-us/careers/our-locations/). ### About the Company Advancing connectivity to secure a brighter world.
