Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage an internal developer portal on Backstage.io
• Develop custom Backstage plugins and customize the platform using TypeScript, Node.js, and React
• Configure and manage the Backstage Software Catalog for a unified view of services, documentation, and tooling
• Create and maintain software templates using Backstage's Scaffolder to standardize project creation
• Provision and manage cloud resources using Infrastructure as Code with Terraform
• Use Crossplane to manage cloud services through a Kubernetes-native API, including composite resources
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI/CD
• Manage software artifacts and dependencies using JFrog Artifactory
• Automate builds, testing, and deployments across the developer platform

Requirements

• Proven experience designing and managing an internal developer portal, preferably Backstage
• Expertise in TypeScript, Node.js, and React for platform customization
• Extensive experience with AWS and/or GCP, including VPC, IAM, S3, and managed Kubernetes (EKS/GKE)
• Hands-on experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code principles
• Experience with Crossplane.io for Kubernetes-native infrastructure management
• Strong understanding of Docker, Kubernetes, and container ecosystems
• Solid CI/CD experience with GitLab CI/CD
• Proficiency with JFrog Artifactory for artifact and dependency management
• Strong scripting and automation skills in Python, Go, or Bash
• Eligible to work in the US on H1B, GC, or as a USC
