Job Description
The Quality organization is currently seeking a solutions-oriented Product Quality Engineer to join the Quality team at Toluca Complex, Mexico. This will be involved in working with various commodities within the entire vehicle architecture. The PQE will lead all quality systems/programs, provide technical expertise to hourly and manufacturing salary personnel at the Toluca facility and collaborate with Plant Manufacturing and Engineering operations, and champion Stellantis' Quality improvement efforts across all functional areas.
Responsibilities Include:
- Support external/Internal quality Key Performance Indicators (KPI) management for achieving targets, driving improvement/corrective actions and escalation
- Lead improvement activities in vehicle quality by addressing nonconformity to product quality targets
- Protect product design intent and function while assisting with identification and solutions of manufacturing constraints
- Lead teams to identify risks/hazards associated with product designs, processes, applications, applying lessons learned, and assist in the generation of FMEA's and associated Control Plans
- Provide supervision necessary to perform, administer or direct rework/repair methods and processes in compliance with engineering standards
- Participate in Launch process, from the new product digital build to identify issues in early step of the program to the plant physical builds phases; responsible to develop and execute the Quality Plan for the MY launch including Q-Teams for quality performance tracking during pilots build; identification of the Engineering responsibility issue impacting the plant, set glide paths to improve before launch; lead the Corporate SAQ for the pilot/launch issues assigned to Plant Manufacturing.
- Bachelor's degree in a technical engineering discipline with strong analytical foundations, such as Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Automotive, Electronics, Aerospace, Manufacturing Engineering etc...or combination with relevant experience may be considered)
- English written and spoken, capable to communicate and negotiate effectively at all levels.
- Well-versed in Excel, PowerPoint.
- Effective presentation/public speaking skills
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Key Responsibilities
