## Job Description
Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Controls Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining control systems for our commercial HVAC products. This individual must be analytical thinker, self-motivated and able to work independently but must also be able to interface with cross functional teams to support the products.
Job Duties:
- Develop control systems design and maintain related documents.
- Develop Sequence of operation for the HVAC control system
- Develop applications using high-level software tools for prototyping or troubleshooting
- Tests applications and control methods using simulation, emulation and field testing.
- Work with multiple teams like Product Technical Support team, Manufacturing, Quality and Labs for product support and knowledge share.
- Generate technical documentation for use within the company and/or with vendors.
- Conducts market research, systems analysis and experimentation to analyze application or operational feasibility and explore alternatives.
- Strives for continuous improvement and teamwork in product development and processes.
## Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree BS in Electrical, Mechanical, or Controls Engineering
- Minimum of 4 years of work experience, HVAC preferred
- Programming experience with embedded controls or PLCs is required
- Hardware design, PCB design, developing prototypes experience is a plus
- Demonstrated expertise in troubleshooting control systems and resolving technical issues
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams
- Knowledge of NEC, UL, NFPA, and ASHRAE standards preferred
- Willingness to travel occasionally for on-site support and system installations
