Job Description

As a Principal Data Scientist at Honeywell Aerospace, you will provide technical expertise and guidance in machine learning, statistical modeling, and data thoughtful projects, translating business needs into innovative data science solutions to drive actionable insights and shape the future of our Data Science team. Honeywell Aerospace is seeking a Principal Data Scientist to lead the development and deployment of advanced analytics, machine learning, and Generative AI solutions that drive transformation across the Integrated Supply Chain (ISC). This role partners with business and technology leaders to improve forecasting, inventory optimization, supplier performance, manufacturing efficiency, logistics, and supply chain resiliency through data-driven solutions. ### Responsibilities ## KEY RESPONSIBILITIES - Lead the design and deployment of machine learning, predictive analytics, optimization, and AI solutions for Aerospace ISC. - Develop and scale Generative AI and Agentic AI capabilities, including copilot, RAG, and workflow automation solutions. - Partner with supply chain, manufacturing, procurement, quality, and engineering teams to solve complex business problems. - Drive technical strategy, best practices, AI governance, and adoption of enterprise AI capabilities. - Mentor data scientists and provide thought leadership across analytics and AI initiatives. - Collaborate with engineering teams to operationalize solutions using modern cloud and MLOps platforms. ### Qualifications ## YOU MUST HAVE - Master’s degree or Ph.D. in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering, Operations Research, or a related field. - 10+ years of experience in Data Science, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, or Advanced Analytics. - Strong expertise in predictive modeling, time-series forecasting, optimization, machine learning, and statistical analysis. - Expert proficiency in Python, SQL, and modern data science toolsets. - Hands-on experience with Databricks (Spark, Delta Lake, MLflow, Unity Catalog) and enterprise-scale AI/ML development. - Experience building and deploying production-grade AI/ML solutions using cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, or GCP. ## WE VALUE - Aerospace, manufacturing, or supply chain domain experience. - Experience with Integrated Supply Chain processes including planning, procurement, manufacturing, logistics, and quality. - Experience with Azure AI, Azure OpenAI, Microsoft Fabric, Azure Machine Learning, and Databricks Mosaic AI. - Expertise in Agentic AI frameworks such as Semantic Kernel, LangChain, LlamaIndex, or AutoGen. - Experience with MLOps, CI/CD, model governance, and Responsible AI practices. ## Key Competencies - Strategic leadership and executive communication skills. - Strong business acumen and ability to influence stakeholders. - Proven ability to lead complex, cross-functional initiatives. - Passion for innovation, continuous learning, and AI-driven transformation. ## Impact This role will define and scale Honeywell Aerospace's AI and advanced analytics capabilities to improve operational performance, reduce costs, increase supply chain resilience, and accelerate digital transformation across the Integrated Supply Chain organization. #LI-Hybrid #LI-AL3
