## Meet the Team We are Cisco Secure Common Services Engineering, a team of cybersecurity experts and innovative engineers who support the products and developers across Cisco Security. This team is responsible for developing Cisco’s new integrated Cisco’s Security platform This team also develops Common platform services on cloud that can leveraged by other Cisco products like Secure Access, CDO, Firewall, SDWAN ## ## Your Impact As a Principal engineer: - You will lead the design and evolution of our large-scale distributed systems, specifically strengthening our strategic investments in provisioning and Managed Service Provider (MSP) and platform service capabilities. - You will provide critical architectural leadership for partner enablement and product expansion initiatives, including the Managed Service License Agreement (MSLA) and Subscription Trials Console(STC). - A key priority will be driving platform scalability to support our growing global partner ecosystem. - Furthermore, you will champion the integration of AI-driven development workflows and AI-powered tooling to modernize our engineering practices, ensuring our distributed systems are not only robust but also built using the most efficient, automated, and forward-looking development methodologies. - You will act as a force multiplier, providing the architectural vision necessary to scale our MSLA and STC initiatives while mentoring the team on how to leverage AI to solve complex scalability challenges. - Review the design/code based on front end tech stack and back end microservices and their compliance with the architecture ## ## In this role, you will work with: - Product Managers who will help you know our customers and partners so you can deliver solutions that meet their needs and wants - Engineering Managers who will enable you to focus on doing what you enjoy: delivering phenomenal software; they will also be your coach and guide on this exciting stage of your career journey - Technical Architects who will play a hands-on role in helping you design, develop, and operate with the best practices, patterns the industry has to offer ## ## ## Minimum Qualifications - 15+ years of professional experience in using languages like in GoLang/Java/python, Golang is most preferred - Proven experience in designing microservices and event driven architecture - Experience with high-throughput messaging technologies and patterns - Apache Kafka and related technologies - Experience working with a variety of database technologies, both SQL and NoSQL including columnar, document-oriented, Redis and Cassandra a plus - Experience with application containers and runtimes such as Docker and Docker Engine as well as deploying/running them using a container orchestration platform such as Kubernetes. Experience with Amazon AWS,EKS, GKE etc - Experience developing, testing, and deploying to public cloud infrastructures such as AWS, GCP, or Azure - Experience working in an Agile/Scrum-inspired delivery methodology - Proficiency in AI-driven development, enabling the team to adopt AI-assisted coding, automated testing, and intelligent system design patterns - Experience/knowledge of front end tech stack/frameworks are desirable - Ability to communicate clearly and summarize information to others concisely. ## ## Qualifications: - B.Tech /B.E with Computer Science or equivalent - 15+ years of professional experience in developing SW products and large platforms. - Leading and mentoring and the engineers on the technical aspects # Why Cisco?
