Job Description
MISSION/ROLE:
Seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Product Developer to support the development and commercialization of men’s dress footwear. This role will contribute to the execution of seasonal product initiatives, ensuring alignment with brand standards for design, comfort, quality, cost, and adherence to critical dates calendar. This role will partner cross-functionally with Design, Merchandising, Materials, and Supply Chain teams, as well as external manufacturing partners, to support all aspects of product creation.
CORE ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Support the end-to-end product development cycle, from prototypes through commercialization, for men’s dress footwear categories
- Partner with Design to translate product concepts into technically feasible and commercially viable products that meet design, cost, and quality expectations
- Execute against seasonal development calendars, ensuring adherence to key milestones and deliverables
- Track and manage prototype, sales and production confirmation samples, including iterations, approvals, and risk assessments
- Maintain and update product data within PLM systems
- Communicate regularly with global offices, factories and suppliers to monitor development progress and resolve issues in a timely manner
- Manage product costs to align with margin targets by evaluating construction builds, materials and component selections
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in footwear design/ development, accessories or a related field
- 5+ years of prior experience in men’s dress footwear
- Foundational knowledge of footwear constructions, materials, especially leather, development and manufacturing processes is preferred
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Effective written and verbal communication skills and collaborative team player
- Experience in working and communicating with Asia based offices and suppliers
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word & Excel is required
- Experience with Adobe Illustrator and/or PLM systems preferred
Base Salary Range: $80,000 - 100,000 annually\
Bonus Eligibility: Yes, eligible for annual target bonus based on company and individual performance
