Our mission is to make the world a better place to work and to achieve this mission we need a skilled and experienced Mobile App Product Manager with deep knowledge of native iOS / Android app development, including iOS and Android ecosystem guidelines and best practices, to lead and oversee our mobile application within our organisation.
The Role
We are seeking a Product Manager with strong Mobile App experience to own and drive the development of our mobile app whilst playing a key role in ensuring consistency and cohesion across our mobile ecosystem. You will work with Product leadership to help shape and implement product strategy, conduct research, manage launches, and ensure our app delivers exceptional value to our users. Importantly, you will collaborate closely with other Product teams to identify opportunities for cross-app functionality (such as widgets and shared services), and champion consistency across our various modules. You will work closely with engineering, design, marketing, and stakeholders across the organisation to bring innovative mobile solutions to market.
### Some of your responsibilities & core duties will include:
- Work with Product leadership to help shape and implement the product strategy for our mobile app, ensuring alignment with overall company objectives and market needs.
- Collaborate with other Product teams to identify opportunities for cross-app functionality and shared components (such as widgets, shared services, and reusable features), driving consistency across the mobile ecosystem.
- Work with product peers to establish and enforce product standards and guidelines across modules, ensuring a cohesive user experience.
- Oversee qualitative and quantitative research efforts to identify user needs, pain points, and opportunities for app product innovation.
- Conduct app-specific multivariate testing to drive product enhancements and improvements.
- Analyse market trends, competition, and business metrics in the mobile app space to inform product positioning and strategic direction.
- Communicate the mobile app product vision and goals clearly across engineering teams and stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain a detailed product roadmap for the app, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality products that meet user needs and drive business growth.
- Manage app launches and devise effective go-to-market strategies, coordinating with relevant teams to ensure successful market entry.
- Collaborate closely with mobile engineers to establish technical best practices and maintain code quality standards.
- Influence cross-functional teams, promoting a culture of continuous innovation and collaboration.
- Implement and enforce iOS and Android guidelines to ensure product quality and consistency.
### The experience and key skills you will have:
- Solid experience in Product Management, with time spent focused on native or React Native iOS / Android app development
- Proven track record of launching and iterating on high-impact mobile apps
- Experience in mobile app-specific user research, market analysis, mobile app technology trends, and business fundamentals
- In-depth knowledge of iOS and Android ecosystem guidelines and best practices
- Experience with app launch and go-to-market strategies, as well as app-specific multivariate testing
- Excellent product management and prioritisation abilities, with experience driving cross-functional collaboration and alignment
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and align stakeholders at all levels of the organisation
- Familiarity with agile principles, agile methodologies and tools, and experience applying them in a mobile app development setting – specifically the Atlassian suite of products.
- Experience working with mobile engineers and a solid understanding of the technical aspects involved in building and maintaining native or React Native iOS/Android apps
What We're Looking For
- A strategic thinker who can balance innovation with business objectives
- A data-driven decision maker who uses research and analytics to inform product decisions
