Job Description

Production Engineer FT Precision is a state of the art automotive parts manufacturer located in Fredericktown, Ohio. Our products include steel and aluminum automotive components. Our processes include the latest manufacturing technologies in areas such as CNC Machining, Product Assembly, Aluminum Casting and Heat Treatment. We are currently seeking a full-time Production Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the following: optimize production processes for maximum efficiency through the analysis of process/material flow, downtime and scrap reports, capacity studies, and new technology. This includes hands on troubleshooting, root cause analysis of recurring issues, research of new technology, etc. Duties are performed under general supervision and may require frequent conferences concerning progress and difficulties. Desired Qualifications Education - Associate Degree in Mechanical Engineering or any combination of equivalent experience and education Computer Skills - Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint - Electric CAD - PLEX - Various PLC, HMI, Motion Control, etc. software as needed Personal/Other Skills - Self-starter mentality and ability to work independently - Ability to solve complex problems through analysis to propose and implement appropriate countermeasures - Basic robotics, PLC, and NC programming knowledge is helpful - Basic presentation skills - Good written and verbal communication - Ability to manage multiple projects and set priorities - Understand technical drawings including: geometric tolerances, ladder logic, pneumatics, hydraulics, assemblies - Working knowledge of safety standards Travel Requirement - Some travel required We offer a competitive salary and an excellent benefits package.
