Why This Role Matters
This Property Accountant role, based in Savills Brisbane office, is key to supporting the financial integrity of a key client’s national portfolio. You’ll ensure accurate reporting, dependable cashflow management, and clear financial insights that help the team deliver strong outcomes for clients. The role suits someone detail‑driven, organised, and confident working independently, with strong communication skills and a solid grounding in accounting principles. Property industry experience and familiarity with MRI are essential, but what matters most is your ability to provide reliable, high‑quality financial support in a fast‑paced environment.
What You’ll be Doing
- Provide month end reports to client, including preparation of accruals, prepayments and variance commentaries.
- Assist in the preparation of month end reports, budgets and forecasts
- Work closely with the Property and Asset Managers in answering queries and other requests
- Preparation of Bank Reconciliations for review
- Process Lease maintenance requests
- Processing of Rent up and raising of ad hoc invoices
- Assist and perform ad hoc client reporting requirements
What You’ll Bring
- + 5 years experience in similar role
- Property industry experience essential, retail sector experience highly regarded
- Working knowledge in using MRI essential
- Experience across both cash and accrual accounting essential
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong computer literacy
- Excellent communication skills both oral and written
- Must be able to work independently with excellent time management skills
