Job Description
The Live Centre Engineer proactively oversees the wells and system behaviour under own area responsibility and connection to the Real-Time system/s. Reports any observed anomalies and makes recommendations to solve them. The work schedule is 12x7 (12 hours a day, 7 days a week) followed by a 7-day off period between shifts. The position reports directly to PL Center Manager and has a strong communication and collaboration with Application Engineers (AEs), Customer Engagement Coordinators (CECs), Sales Team and Clients.
#### Real-time Support
- Perform system surveillance by responding to appropriate alarms and well events, notify AE, Account Manager and/or client as appropriate.
- Establish a baseline for system performance.
- Generate alerts to highlight potential problems and opportunities and follow up with AEs and clients via emails and phone calls.
- Follow well alarms and identifying relevant trend.
- Ensure relevant events are logged in QUEST and reporting system with actions to the corresponding GeoUnit field/Product Line responsible.
- Deliver email alerts or notification to report: problems, opportunities, changes.
- Generate and deliver Well status daily/ weekly/ monthly report for each well, and other KPI reports for the various clients as per agreements.
- Follow Up with AEs and clients about opportunities for production improvement identified through the pump and/or reservoir diagnostics, on monthly/ quarterly Quality meetings.
- Contribute to case studies and tech report publications on an annual basis. KPI to be defined annually by the Live centre manager.
#### Offline Support
- Ensure that the wells are commissioned properly and have communication as soon as they are created.
- Manage user accounts.
- Setup and manage alarms and notifications in coordination with the corresponding CEC or Account Manager.
- Maintain “Primary Contacts” list of approvers for countries in his area.
- Follow up with CECs, ProSer, InTouch for non-communicating wells.
- Give support on well connection to the system when needed.
- We are looking for a PS Performance Live Engineer to monitor well performance and ESP systems through real-time surveillance platforms, identify anomalies, generate alerts, and support production optimization initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Petroleum, Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic Engineering, or related fields.
- Experience in well surveillance, production monitoring, real-time operations, or artificial lift systems.
- Knowledge of ESP (Electric Submersible Pump) systems.
- Preferred: Knowledge of well monitoring and production diagnostics.
- Experience analyzing operational trends, alarms, and performance data.
- English proficiency: B2 level or higher.
