Job Description

We are hiring a Senior Azure DevOps Engineer for a long-term W2 contract based in NYC on a hybrid schedule. The role sits within a cloud infrastructure and platform engineering team responsible for building resilient CI/CD systems and production-grade Kubernetes environments on Azure. The engineer will own automation tooling, pipeline architecture, and cluster operations that support multiple product teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain end-to-end CI/CD pipelines with a focus on reliability and speed
  • Develop and maintain GitLab CI/CD multi-stage pipelines, templates, shared runners, and pipeline-as-code practices
  • Manage Kubernetes clusters including Helm chart development, Istio service mesh, and pod orchestration
  • Write Python automation and scripting for infrastructure tooling and CI/CD utilities
  • Architect and operate Azure cloud services including AKS, Azure DevOps, Virtual Networks, IAM/RBAC, Storage, Key Vault, and Monitor
  • Troubleshoot production Kubernetes and pipeline issues to minimize downtime
  • Contribute to cloud architecture decisions and cost optimization initiatives

Requirements

  • Strong proficiency in Python for automation, scripting, and infrastructure tooling
  • Expert-level Kubernetes experience including cluster management, Helm, Istio, and production deployments
  • Hands-on experience designing and maintaining end-to-end CI/CD pipelines
  • Deep expertise in GitLab CI/CD including multi-stage pipelines, templates, and shared runners
  • Solid knowledge of Azure services (AKS, Azure DevOps, VNets, IAM/RBAC, Storage, Key Vault, Monitor)
  • Senior-level experience in a DevOps or platform engineering role
  • Eligible to work on a W2 basis in the United States
