Job Summary
The QMS & Compliance Engineer (P2) supports the implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the site's Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure compliance with applicable standards, including AS9100, EASA Part 21G, customer requirements, and corporate policies. This role assists with audit readiness, document control, corrective action management, and quality system initiatives while working closely with cross-functional teams to promote compliance and process effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the implementation and maintenance of the site's Quality Management System in compliance with AS9100, EASA Part 21G, customer, and corporate requirements.
- Assist in maintaining QMS procedures, work instructions, and other controlled documents.
- Coordinate document control activities, including document review, revision, approval, distribution, and archival.
- Support internal, customer, certification, and regulatory audits, including audit preparation, participation, and follow-up of corrective actions.
- Participate in process assessments and identify opportunities for quality system improvements.
- Support the Site in reviewing, updating, and standardizing site documentation.
- Assist in conducting Layered Process Audits (LPA), including monitoring action item completion.
- Collaborate with Manufacturing, Engineering, Operations, and other support functions to ensure compliance with QMS requirements.
- Deliver QMS awareness and process training to employees as assigned.
- Support QMS improvement initiatives and standardization efforts across the site.
- Support and maintain documentation control processes, including procedures, and work instructions, in alignment with corporate and regulatory standards.
- Provide QMS training and awareness programs to ensure understanding and compliance throughout the organization.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, or related technical field.
- 2–4 years of experience in Quality Management Systems, Quality Assurance, or a related quality function.
- Working knowledge of AS9100, EASA Part 21G, ISO 9001, or similar quality management standards.
- Experience supporting internal or external audits, document control, and CAPA processes.
- Familiarity with document management systems and ERP/QMS applications (e.g., SAP, JDE, ETQ, or equivalent).
- Working knowledge of Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) methodologies and problem-solving tools (e.g., 5 Whys, Fishbone, 8D).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments while meeting compliance and documentation deadlines.
