Job Description
We are hiring an experienced Software Developer with deep expertise in C++ and industrial communication protocols to join a Hyderabad-based engineering team. The role involves building and maintaining applications that communicate with industrial/automation systems, working closely with DevOps and networking teams, and contributing to application development from the ground up.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop and maintain applications in C++ (and C# where applicable)
- Implement and support industrial communication protocols such as IEC 61850, Modbus, DNP3 and SNMP
- Work with file transfer and terminal protocols including FTP, FTPS, SFTP, TFTP, HTTP, ASCII, YMODEM and XMODEM
- Integrate applications with databases via ODBC
- Debug and analyze network traffic using Wireshark and tcpdump
- Containerize and deploy applications using Docker
- Collaborate on DevOps and CI/CD pipelines
Requirements
- 8+ years of hands-on experience in C++ development
- Working knowledge of C# preferred
- Experience with IEC 61850, Modbus, DNP3 and SNMP protocols
- Experience with FTP, FTPS, SFTP, TFTP, HTTP, ASCII, YMODEM and XMODEM
- Experience with ODBC and database connectivity
- Proficiency with Wireshark and/or tcpdump
- Experience with Docker and DevOps/CI-CD practices
- Exposure to Embedded C, Embedded Systems and RTOS is a plus
- Familiarity with TCP/IP, networking, SCADA and industrial automation is a plus
- Experience building applications from scratch is a plus
- Notice period of immediate to 15 days (currently serving notice period candidates only)
