We work on complex and impactful rail infrastructure projects that improve urban and inter-city mobility for millions of people. As a Civil Engineering Intern, you'll have the opportunity to work alongside experienced engineers, develop practical skills and gain exposure to some of the largest transportation infrastructure projects in Australia and New Zealand. We are looking for a Rail Engineering Intern to join the Sydney team. How you'll make a difference: - Support the planning, design and delivery of rail infrastructure projects under the guidance of experienced engineers. - Assist with projects that develop new rail corridors, expand existing networks and improve the efficient use of transport infrastructure. - Contribute to engineering calculations, technical documentation and project deliverables. - Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams while developing your technical knowledge and professional skills. - Participate in project meetings, site visits and learning opportunities to gain hands-on experience across the project lifecycle. - Build your understanding of rail engineering while contributing to projects that help shape the future of sustainable transport. You'll bring strong communication and teamwork skills, a positive and proactive attitude, adaptability, and a commitment to professionalism and integrity. - Bachelor’s Degree: You must be in your penultimate year of a Bachelor’s or Postgraduate degree in Civil Engineering with a strong interest in rail. - Commencement: Able to work full time hours from 16 November 2026 – 19 February 2027. - Working Rights: You must have full working rights to work in Australia or New Zealand before applying.
