This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled developer passionate about creating reliable, accessible, and impactful digital products. ### Accountabilities: The React Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining responsive web applications while ensuring high-quality user experiences and scalable front-end solutions. - Develop and maintain dynamic, responsive web applications using React.js and modern front-end development practices. - Build reusable components and front-end libraries that improve scalability, consistency, and development efficiency. - Collaborate with UX/UI designers to transform design concepts into interactive and visually engaging user interfaces. - Integrate RESTful APIs and third-party services into applications using JSON and modern JavaScript techniques. - Implement state management solutions such as Redux or Context API to maintain application reliability and consistency. - Optimize application performance, accessibility, security, and cross-browser compatibility. - Conduct unit, integration, and end-to-end testing to ensure application quality and functionality. - Maintain clear technical documentation for projects, components, and codebases. - Troubleshoot technical issues and provide timely solutions to support application stability. - Collaborate with backend developers, product owners, project managers, and other stakeholders to successfully deliver projects. - Participate in continuous improvement initiatives by recommending technical enhancements and development best practices. ## Requirements: The ideal candidate is a skilled front-end developer with strong React expertise, excellent problem-solving abilities, and experience building modern web applications. - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field. - 3+ years of hands-on experience developing applications with React.js. - Strong proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, CSS3, and modern front-end development practices. - Experience with React hooks and state management libraries such as Redux or Context API. - Strong understanding of responsive design principles and cross-browser compatibility. - Experience with modern front-end build tools such as Webpack and Babel. - Familiarity with version control systems such as Git and CI/CD tools including Jenkins or GitHub Actions. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. - Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively within a cross-functional team. - Experience with TypeScript and modern testing frameworks such as Jest or React Testing Library is preferred. - Knowledge of UI frameworks such as Material-UI, Chakra UI, or Tailwind CSS is an asset. - Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure and container technologies like Docker is considered a plus. ## Benefits: - Competitive compensation of approximately $55 CAD/hour (T4) or $62 CAD/hour (incorporated). - Flexible remote work opportunity with location options available in Canada. - Opportunity to contribute to modern web applications and impactful digital experiences. - Exposure to current front-end technologies and development practices. - Collaborative environment working with designers, developers, and product professionals. - Opportunity to enhance technical skills through hands-on experience with React, TypeScript, and modern software development tools. - Short-term contract opportunity with potential to make a meaningful impact on product delivery.
