Position Title: CDL Driver Recruiter
Department: Human Resources
Location: Greeley, CO
Reports to: Recruiting Manager
Position Overview: The CDL Driver Recruiter is responsible for sourcing, attracting, and hiring qualified CDL drivers to meet the company’s transportation needs. This role involves developing and executing recruitment strategies, building relationships with driver candidates, and ensuring a seamless hiring experience. The ideal candidate will have experience in driver recruitment, strong communication skills, and understanding of DOT regulations and industry trends.
Key Responsibilities:
Recruitment and Sourcing:
- Utilize various sourcing methods provided by the company.
- Maintain a pipeline of qualified driver candidates for current and future hiring needs.
Screening and Hiring:
- Conduct initial p0hone screenings and interviews to assess candidates’ qualifications and suitability.
- Verify CDL licenses, endorsements, work experience, and safety records.
- Coordinate background checks, drug screening, and other pre-employment requirements.
- Facilitate the application and onboarding process, ensuring compliance with DOT and company regulations.
Relationship Building and Engagement:
- Build and maintain relationships with driving schools.
- Engage with current drivers to promote referral programs and improve retention
- Maintain communication with candidates throughout the hiring process to ensure a positive experience.
Compliance & Record Keeping:
- Ensure all recruiting and hiring practices comply with DOT, FMSCA and company policies.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in applicant tracking system (ATS)..
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business, or a related field preferred.
- 1-2 years of driver recruiting, transportation, or staffing industry experience preferred
- Knowledge of CDL licensing requirements, DOT regulations, and FMCSA guidelines preferred.
- Experience with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and recruitment software is a plus.
Skills:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet hiring goals.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Proficiency in HRIS Systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
The applicant who fills this position will be eligible for the following compensation and benefits:
- Benefits: Vision, Medical, and Dental coverage begin after 60 days of employment.
- Better Futures Program: 2 Year Community College tuition paid for you or your dependents.
- Paid Time Off: sick leave, vacation, and 6 company observed holidays.
- 401(k): company match begins after the first year of service and follows the company vesting schedule.
- Base salary range of $57,784.
