Job Description
What You'll Do:
- You provide timely, accurate, relevant, and value-adding accounting and financial information to stakeholders, complete closing, reporting, and reconciliation activities, and ensure the integrity of general ledger balances.
- You ensure financial processes and controls are implemented across relevant business units and that proper business practices are consistently followed.
- You focus on continuous process improvements and value-adding initiatives.
- You ensure the accuracy of the general ledger by preparing intermediate to complex manual journal entries, executing closing tasks, and preparing and distributing periodic reports.
- You prepare manual journal entries that require intermediate to complex analysis and computation.
- You park/post manual journal entries in the ERP system.
- You ensure costs and revenues are recorded in the correct period by performing financial analysis and applying proper accounting standards and procedures.
- You perform regular clearing of general ledger accounts.
- You prepare complex and high-risk periodic account reconciliations in accordance with policy requirements.
- You investigate reconciling items and develop appropriate action plans.
- You prepare and submit periodic financial and regulatory reports required for statutory reporting and management decision-making.
- You regularly update the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) to ensure accuracy and relevance.
- You provide accounting support to local business partners and non-finance departments (e.g., HR, Sales and Marketing, Procurement), especially for transactions involving complex accounting concepts.
- You communicate effectively with various stakeholders and respond promptly to management queries related to financial results.
What We're Looking For:
- You hold a Bachelor’s/College Degree in Accountancy.
- You have 3–4 years of experience in a finance environment within a large corporate organization.
- You have experience working in a Shared Service Center, BPO, or offshore migration setup.
- You have hands-on experience with SAP and other ERP systems.
- You demonstrate strong continuous improvement and project management skills.
- You are highly proficient in various computer applications, including intermediate Excel skills.
- You have excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written.
- You can manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines effectively.
- You are amenable to working on a mid-shift schedule.
