Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop backend services using Java and Spring Boot
• Build and maintain frontend UI components using React
• Work with MongoDB for basic to moderate data storage and retrieval needs
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and align on priorities
• Participate in Agile development processes including sprint planning and retrospectives
• Use Git for version control in a team-based development environment
• Perform basic Unix shell scripting for automation, troubleshooting, and operational support
• Contribute to both frontend and backend features as required by the project

Requirements

• 3+ years of hands-on software development experience using a modern programming language such as Java or JavaScript
• 2+ years of experience using Git for source control in a team-based development environment
• 2+ years of experience with Java Spring and Spring Boot framework
• 2+ years of experience with Angular or React UI framework
• Strong Java and Spring Boot backend development skills
• Strong React UI frontend development skills
• Experience with MongoDB (basic to moderate usage)
• Familiarity with Unix shell scripting for automation and troubleshooting
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Strong critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and business acumen
• Familiarity with Agile development processes
• Graduate degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related quantitative discipline (preferred)
• Fintech or financial services background (preferred but not required)
• Experience engaging with stakeholders to gather requirements and drive delivery (preferred)
• Exposure to product and project management tools such as JIRA (preferred)
