Position Overview
- As an Australian Tax Accountant, you will prepare tax returns, financial statements, BAS, IAS, and other compliance documents for a range of Australian entities, including Individuals, Companies, Trusts, Partnerships, and SMSFs. You will work closely with the Australian team to deliver accurate, timely, and compliant accounting services. The ideal candidate has at least three years of Australian public practice experience, strong knowledge of Australian tax regulations, proficiency in Xero, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Responsibilities
- Tax Preparation: Prepare income tax returns for various entities, including Individuals, Companies, Trusts, Partnerships, and Self-Managed Super Funds (SMSFs).
- Compliance & Reporting: Prepare financial statements, Business Activity Statements (BAS), Instalment Activity Statements (IAS), and all related compliance documentation.
- Task Execution: Complete all client accounting and taxation compliance tasks with high levels of accuracy and efficiency.
- Collaboration: Coordinate closely with the Australian team to ensure all deadlines are met and high-quality client outcomes are maintained.
- General Support: Provide assistance with general public practice accounting and taxation matters as required.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years' current experience in Australian public practice tax and accounting.1
- Relevant Accounting qualification.2
- Strong working knowledge of Australian taxation and compliance requirements.3
- Demonstrated ability to independently prepare tax returns for all entity types and complete associated compliance work.4
- Experience preparing financial statements and activity statements.5
- High attention to detail, strong organisational skills and ability to meet deadlines.6
- Excellent English communication skills.7
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic, reliable, professional and able to work effectively as part of a team.8
- Proficient in Australian accounting software, including Xero and related practice management systems.8
- Qualified and experienced candidate who can confidently undertake Australian tax and accounting compliance work with minimal supervision and become a valued long-term member of the team

Work Schedule and Hours:
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM AUST.
- Hours: Full-time, 8 hours of work plus a 1-hour break per day, with a maximum of 40 hours per week.
Work Setup: Remote (Work from home).
- Salary: Php 80,000 - Php 120,000 (depends on exp)
- Health Insurance: Private health insurance (HMO) for the employee only, effective upon hire
