Job Description

The Opportunity We're seeking a highly skilled Senior AI Engineer to join our growing Artificial Intelligence team and help shape the future of AI across our organisation. In this role, you'll design, develop and deploy innovative AI solutions that solve complex business challenges and enhance operational efficiency. Working with modern cloud technologies, machine learning models, large language models (LLMs), and Microsoft's AI ecosystem, you'll play a key role in delivering scalable, secure, and production-ready AI applications. You'll partner closely with business stakeholders, data teams, developers, and IT leaders to identify opportunities for AI-driven transformation, bringing ideas from concept through to deployment while ensuring measurable business outcomes. Key Responsibilities AI Solution Development – Design, develop and deploy machine learning, generative AI, and agentic AI solutions to address business needs. Azure AI Engineering – Build and maintain AI solutions using Azure Machine Learning, Azure AI Services, AI Foundry, Functions, Containers, and MLOps practices. Copilot & AI Agents – Develop and deploy Microsoft 365 Copilot Agents and Copilot Studio solutions for enterprise use. Machine Learning & LLM Implementation – Evaluate, train, optimise, and deploy machine learning models and large language model applications. Data Engineering Collaboration – Partner with data specialists to build robust pipelines and ensure the quality, security, and integrity of data used in AI solutions. Solution Delivery – Lead the technical delivery of AI initiatives from design through production deployment and ongoing optimisation. Stakeholder Engagement – Work closely with business and technical teams to identify opportunities and communicate AI capabilities and outcomes. Innovation & Continuous Improvement – Stay current with emerging AI technologies, industry trends and best practices, driving continuous innovation across the organisation. Experience & Expertise Essential Degree qualification in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related discipline. Microsoft Certified: Azure AI Engineer Associate certification. Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Scientist Associate certification. Minimum 5 years' experience delivering AI and machine learning solutions in enterprise environments. Strong programming skills in Python and SQL. Experience with machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, and scikit-learn. Hands-on experience across Azure AI technologies, including Azure Machine Learning, Azure AI Services, AI Foundry, Azure Functions, Containers, and MLOps. Experience building and deploying AI applications using Large Language Models (LLMs). Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Experience working in Agile delivery environments. Desirable Additional Data & AI certifications. Experience with alternative cloud AI and machine learning platforms. Experience developing agentic AI solutions and enterprise Copilot implementations. Exposure to data engineering and modern data platform architectures. Experience delivering AI solutions at enterprise scale.
