You will bring a unique perspective to a team that adapts and maintains a secure and reliable network hosted across both cloud and office/site network infrastructure. Although the core focus of this role will be to act as a Network Engineer with a solid understanding of Network & IT Infrastructure Fundamentals including protocols, switches, routers/firewalls, it will also include exposure to experience operating within Azure & AWS cloud tenants. You will design and manage the local and wide area networks of our organization to ensure maximum up time for our users. Reporting to the Director, IT, Infrastructure, you will: - Design and Architect Networks Develop secure, scalable, and highly available network architectures using technologies like VPNs, VPCs, virtual networks, and load balancers. - Cloud Network Management Provision, configure, and manage cloud-based network resources across platforms such as AWS, Azure, and Cisco Meraki. - Network Security Implementation Enforce robust security measures including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, encryption, and compliance with industry standards. - Performance Monitoring and Troubleshooting Continuously monitor network performance, diagnose issues, and optimize for stability, availability, and efficiency. - Hybrid Network Integration Seamlessly connect cloud environments with on-premises infrastructure using secure methods like VPNs. - Automation and Scripting Leverage automation tools and scripting languages to streamline network operations and reduce manual tasks. - Disaster Recovery and Continuity Planning Manage backup strategies, disaster recovery protocols, and ensure business continuity for network systems. - Documentation and Compliance Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of network configurations, operational procedures, and compliance records. - Stakeholder Communication and Collaboration Collaborate with IT teams and stakeholders, providing clear updates on incidents, maintenance, and project progress. - Continuous Learning and Innovation Stay current with emerging technologies and trends, recommending improvements to enhance network infrastructure. ## Qualifications You Have: - Bachelor's/Associates degree in computer engineering or computer science - Strong hands-on experience designing and supporting network infrastructure within AWS and Azure (required) - Demonstrable experience in a professional information technology environment with exposure to network and security engineering - Understanding of Network Fundamentals, protocols, and technologies TCP/IP, VLAN, WAN, MPLS, DNS, DHCP, IPSEC, TLS, NAT, PAT, VPN, BGP, OSPF - 3+ years working within L2 IT Support capacity - Good knowledge of switches, routers, and firewalls, VPNs, Layer-3 devices, APs, specifically with Cisco (Meraki), Palo Alto, and/or Forti - Implementing & Administering Wi-Fi - Microsoft Server 2008 R2 – 2019 - Terminal Services - Active Directory / DNS / Group Policy - VMware vSphere 6.5+ - SAN systems (HPE 3par experience preferred) Preferred: - Cisco CCNA & CCNP and/or relevant Azure/AWS accreditations such as MCSE, MCTIP, VCP, AZ-100 to 104, AZ-900, AWS Practitioner, SysOps & Solutions Architect - Demonstrable experience with cloud-based networking (AWS/Azure) - ITIL Certified is an asset ## Additional Information What’s in it for you to join MUFG Investor Services?  Take a look at our careers site and you’ll find everything you’d expect working with one of the fastest-growing businesses at one of the world’s largest financial groups.
