This is an opportunity to influence the future of podcast technology while contributing to a culture of experimentation, ownership, and collaboration. ### Accountabilities: As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will design, build, and evolve backend services that support personalized podcast experiences and creator-facing platforms. You will help establish scalable architectures, improve system reliability, and contribute to technical direction across complex engineering initiatives. - Lead the design and development of backend services that generate, distribute, and support personalized podcast content at global scale. - Transform MVPs and prototypes into robust production systems with well-designed APIs, reliable data flows, observability, and operational best practices. - Shape engineering approaches for AI-powered workflows, including quality standards and reliability practices for generated content systems. - Build and enhance creator tools that support podcast assets such as transcripts, chapters, previews, clips, guests, topics, and thumbnails. - Collaborate with engineers, product managers, designers, and cross-functional teams to deliver cohesive product experiences. - Partner with product and design teams to explore new ideas, make technical decisions, and balance experimentation with long-term maintainability. - Mentor engineers and contribute to improving technical discussions, architecture reviews, engineering practices, and operational maturity. - Promote a culture of innovation, collaboration, continuous improvement, and strong ownership. ### Requirements: The ideal candidate brings strong backend engineering experience, a passion for scalable systems, and the ability to operate effectively in an evolving technical environment.
