As a Senior Business Developer 80 - 100% (remote)
You will be responsible for driving FAIRTIQ’s expansion into new markets by identifying, developing and closing high-value business opportunities. You will act as a trusted advisor to clients, shape market strategies and contribute directly to revenue growth and the execution of FAIRTIQ’s global sales strategy.
Responsibilities
- Identify, develop and close new business opportunities in target markets
- Build and nurture connections with senior leaders and middle management at public transport authorities and operators, as well as public administrations, elected officials and key stakeholders
- Build and manage a strong sales pipeline, from lead generation to contract signature
- Develop and execute market-specific sales and lead generation strategies in collaboration with Marketing
- Prepare and deliver compelling presentations, proposals, and tender responses to respond to business needs, help clients progress towards their vision and unlock new opportunities
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Marketing and Implementation teams to ensure successful project delivery and market fit
- Lead complex negotiations and drive deals to successful closure
- Monitor market trends, competitors and regulatory environments to inform strategy and positioning
- Represent FAIRTIQ at industry events, conferences and client meetings across relevant markets
- Contribute to thought leadership initiatives and strengthen FAIRTIQ’s market presence (e.g. LinkedIn, articles)
- Support and mentor junior team members and contribute to the growth of the Sales & Business Development team
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, IT, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5–8+ years of experience in enterprise sales, business development, or a similar role; experience in public transport, SaaS, technology, or related industries is a strong plus
- Proven track record of closing complex, high-value deals and exceeding sales targets
- Fluent in English (C1 level); additional languages spoken in Europe such as Czech, Polish, Italian, Spanish, Swedish, Dutch or Norwegian are a strong plus
- Strong strategic thinking and ability to navigate complex sales cycles and stakeholder landscapes
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage senior stakeholders
- Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills
- Analytical mindset with the ability to translate customer needs into tailored solutions and to identify new opportunities
- Hands-on experience with CRM tools (e.g. Salesforce) and sales enablement tools
- Willingness to travel across relevant markets
