We’re constantly innovating to raise the bar of engine and game development. ## ANALYTICS ### What We Do Our Data & Analytics teams build powerful stories and visuals that inform the games we make, the technology we develop, and business decisions that drive Epic. ### What You'll Do This position will primarily be responsible for developing strategic insights to inform Finance and Product leadership on the Epic ecosystem. The Senior Data Scientist will work in a cross-functional team environment under the direction of the Ecosystem Director of Analytics. In addition to other responsibilities, this position will maintain the core business reporting and forecasting that the org relies on, and develop high-leverage data models to improve the efficiency of the entire Insights department. ### In this role, you will - Maintain and evolve core business reporting to analyze fluctuations across our core businesses — decomposing the underlying factors and isolating the causal influence of external events and internal activations - Build, maintain, analyze, and leverage time series forecasting methods to anticipate ecosystem trends and inform Finance and Product planning - Develop and maintain core data models leveraged by the entire department, improving consistency, efficiency, and analytical leverage across teams - Perform executive deep dives on high-priority subjects relevant to the Fortnite ecosystem, translating complex analysis into clear narratives for leadership - Build a deep understanding of our products and become an expert on all analytics data collected - Take accountability for the quality of data reported by our products, and work with engineering and QA to consistently monitor and improve our data - Support users of our self-service data pipeline, helping them understand the data they are using and teaching them appropriate methods to access and summarize it - Collaborate with the ecosystem analytics team to enhance data-driven decision-making across the organization ### What we're looking for Required Qualifications: - Minimum 5-7 years of professional experience as a Data Scientist or in a related field - Expertise with SQL and Python - Familiarity with time series modeling - Demonstrated skills in predictive analytics, especially within complex and high-dimensional environments - Strong written and verbal communication skills with experience delivering presentations to senior leadership, including C-suite executives - Demonstrated understanding of both contemporary video games and analytics best practices Preferred Qualifications: - Expertise with machine learning and PySpark - Experience with time series forecasting libraries such as Prophet - Experience developing and leveraging AI workflows - Experience with causal inference methods - Passion for the gaming industry ## EPIC JOB + EPIC BENEFITS = EPIC LIFE Our intent is to cover all things that are medically necessary and improve the quality of life.
