What you’ll do: The Senior Data Scientist will provide data analytics support to a U.S. Navy program office. Responsibilities: - Develop and implement a set of techniques or analytics applications to transform raw data into meaningful information using data-oriented programming languages and visualization software. - Apply data mining, data modeling, natural language processing, and machine learning to extract and analyze information from large structured and unstructured datasets. - Visualize, interpret, and report data findings by creating dynamic data reports. - Plan internal and external engagements, including meetings, conferences, and events. - Assist in the development of briefing material and drafting documents in accordance with Navy Correspondence Manual guidelines. - Coordinate, monitor, and execute data calls to gather inputs from both internal and external stakeholders. Consolidate and communicate information from data calls to government leadership for further action. - Evaluate operational deficiencies, recommend improvements, and coordinate their implementation - Transcribe and summarize meeting minutes and notes and assist in the preparation and closure of action items - Assist in the scheduling of appointments in support of Government customer, the coordination of arrangements for meetings and conferences, and the arrangement of travel reservations and accommodations - Attend meetings and program reviews, assist with compiling presentations, written materials, and/or electronic communications as required - Travel domestically and internationally, provide in-person support at MBC and client sites, and obtain and maintain professional certifications and security clearances as required by MBC and/or MBC’s clients.
