Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join our finance organization supporting the AWS Infrastructure Supply Chain team. We are looking for a team player that has the entrepreneurial spirit and enjoys working in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment. Through insightful and data-driven analysis, you will partner and collaborate with cross-functional team members to drive supply chain optimization initiatives that will continue our flywheel. This role is both strategic and detailed in nature and requires a finance professional who has a passion for developing complex financial models to support sound decision-making as well as enjoys rolling up their sleeves to learn the day-day aspects of the business. The ideal candidate will be comfortable in a fast-paced, dynamic and multicultural environment; will be a creative and analytical problem solver. Key job responsibilities - Build, run, and maintain complex financial models to maintain AWS infrastructure commodity planning, derive key financial insights, and communicate results to AWS FP&A and senior management. - Conduct supply chain monthly, quarterly, and yearly variance analysis and communicate results to AWS FP&A and senior management. - Develop ad hoc business analyses and present recommendations to AWS senior management. - Collaborate with business partners and co-lead on supply chain optimization projects by influencing through data-driven analysis, reporting and metrics. - Serve as a key finance partner working with cross-functional teams to provide actionable insights and cost savings opportunities. - Ensure compliance with controls and systems, and develop new processes to support the fast-growing, global AWS business. - Partner with Accounting, Supply Chain, and Finance to ensure compliance with controls and systems, and develop new processes to support the fast-growing, global AWS business. ## Basic qualifications - 3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience - Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science), or Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of quantitative role (engineering, process re-engineering, quality assurance) experience - 3+ years of contributing to cross-functional initiatives that drive financial performance and strategy experience - 3+ years of dissecting financial data and identifying patterns that support business strategy experience ## Preferred qualifications - 4+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience - MBA, or CPA - Knowledge of Tableau - Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards) Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
