Job Description

#### **What’s in it for you?** Ready to make a serious impact? Millions of people already rely on Calendly, and we’re still in the midst of exciting product growth — it’s a fantastic time to join us. Everything you’ll work on here will accelerate your career to the next level. If you want to learn, grow, and do the best work of your life alongside the best people you’ve ever worked with, then we hope you’ll consider allowing Calendly to be a part of your professional journey. #### **About the team & opportunity** This role focuses on building and running high-impact experiments that improve how users discover, adopt, and pay for Calendly within our Growth organization. You’ll work across the stack, partner closely with product and analysts, and ship changes that are measured in real business outcomes. This is **not** a traditional feature team role. The work is fast-moving, iterative, and data-driven. You’ll regularly balance speed, quality, and long-term maintainability while operating in an environment with incomplete information. #### **What we value on Growth** - Ownership and follow-through; You care about results and learning, not just delivery - Sound judgment paired with a bias toward action - Technical leadership that raises the bar for the team - Curiosity, humility, and openness to diverse perspectives #### **A day in the life of a Senior Full Stack Engineer at Calendly** - Design, build, and ship full-stack growth experiments end-to-end - Improve key metrics across acquisition, activation, engagement, and monetization - Collaborate daily with product managers, designers, and analysts - Analyze experiment results and iterate quickly based on data - Contribute to our experimentation platform and growth infrastructure - Make thoughtful engineering tradeoffs in pursuit of impact **On a typical week, you might:** - Build and ship an experiment that impacts a core funnel step - Partner with product, design, and analysts to refine a hypothesis or flow - Review experiment results and decide what to iterate, keep, or remove - Improve or extend internal tooling that supports experimentation - Review code, mentor teammates, and participate in team ceremonies #### **What do we need from you?** - 5+ years of professional software experience, with much of that working on user growth (acquisition, activation, retention) or monetization - Strong, hands-on full-stack engineering skills, with the ability to independently design, build, and ship production changes across frontend and backend systems - Demonstrated experience running product experiments end-to-end - A data-driven approach to problem solving - The judgment to balance speed and quality in a growth environment - Comfort operating in ambiguous problem spaces where the path forward is not fully defined and success is measured by outcomes, not effort - A collaborative working style and the ability to partner deeply with product, design, and analytics to drive results - A collaborative mindset and a willingness to give and receive feedback - Authorized to work lawfully in the United States of America as Calendly does not engage in immigration sponsorship at this time. #### **Strong candidates might:** - Arrive with clear points of view on what experiments to run, why they matter, and how to evaluate their impact - Be able to quickly dive into data to uncover growth or monetization opportunities - Demonstrate ownership beyond implementation, from hypothesis formulation through post-launch analysis and follow-ups - Have experience scaling growth systems or experimentation platforms in a production environment #### **Our stack** You don’t need experience with everything below, but you should be excited to work across it: - *Backend:* Ruby on Rails, Grape, PostgreSQL, Redis - *Frontend:* React, TypeScript - *Infrastructure:* Google Cloud Platform, Kubernetes, Argo Workflows Tier 1 Salary Hiring Range $224,400—$271,920 USD Tier 2 Salary Hiring Range $205,700—$249,260 USD Tier 3 Salary Hiring Range $187,000—$226,600 USD The ranges listed above are the expected annual base salary for this role, subject to change. Calendly takes a number of factors into consideration when determining an employee’s starting salary, including relevant experience, relevant skills sets, interview performance, location/metropolitan area, and internal pay equity. Base salary is just one component of Calendly’s total rewards package. All full-time (30 hours/week) employees are also eligible for our Top Performer Bonus program (or Sales incentive), equity awards, and competitive benefits. Calendly uses the zip code of an employee’s remote work location, or the onsite building location if hybrid, to determine which metropolitan pay range we use. Current geographic zones are as follows: - Tier 1: San Francisco, CA, San Jose, CA, New York City, NY - Tier 2: Chicago, IL, Austin, TX, Denver, CO, Boston, MA, Washington D.C., Philadelphia, PA, Portland, OR, Seattle, WA, Miami, FL, and all other cities in CA. - Tier 3: All other locations not in Tier 1 or Tier 2 **If you are an individual with a disability and would like to request a reasonable accommodation as part of the application or recruiting process, please let your Recruiter know when first connecting with them. Calendly is registered as an employer in many, but not all, states. If you are located in Alaska, Delaware, Hawaii, Idaho, Iowa, Montana, Nebraska, North Dakota, Rhode Island, South Dakota, and West Virginia, you will not be eligible for employment. Note that all individual roles will specify location eligibility.** **All candidates can find our Candidate Privacy Statement[here](https://docs.google.com/document/d/1UarTnO5b7rIEKowqiyRvw1Zz81mROP7tq-NR7sCmhBM/edit)** **Candidates residing in California may visit our Notice at Collection for California Candidates here:[Notice at Collection](https://docs.google.com/document/d/1d58_uJ1S0ti5jMlekLhXRswLfJAdw0A6/edit#bookmark=id.gjdgxs)** This role may require occasional travel for company events, team collaboration, or offsites.
