This position will assist with the development of web-based business applications in support of county agencies. The successful candidate will have experience with full-stack development, principles of DevOps, and various web technologies. The position is designated to support programming for and with various databases specifically to support system interfaces, reporting, system integration, system data boards, data display, and better data collection. NATURE AND VARIETY OF WORK Employees in this class use coding to operate on both front- and back-end systems. Their main duties include creating user interactions on various websites and platforms, writing code optimized for mobile and developing databases and services for functionality. These employees receive general supervision from a Systems Analyst or higher-level administrator. The work is primarily sedentary and performed in an office environment. However, the work does involve some walking, standing, bending, stooping, lifting, and bending. The employee may be required to lift equipment weighing fifty pounds or more. Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major course work in mathematics, public or business administration, or a related field, including or supplemented by specialized training in electronic data processing, programming, operations, and methodologies; and two or more years of experience in telecommunications, computer operating systems, and data base management.
