Senior Geotechnical Engineer (PE) Relocation required if not local Why This Role? - Succession planning opportunity - Senior leadership position - Employee-Owned Company (ESOP) - Ability to help grow the Geotechnical Department - Long-term career growth with leadership potential What They're Looking For Required Experience - 10–15+ years of Geotechnical Engineering experience - Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) - Technical proposal writing - Client relationship management - Project management - Team leadership and mentoring Preferred Experience - Construction Materials Testing (CMT) - Foundation design - Pavement analysis - Soil investigations - Commercial and industrial projects - Business development Day-to-Day Responsibilities - Lead geotechnical investigations - Prepare proposals, reports, specifications, and cost estimates - Meet with clients throughout design and construction - Provide technical oversight and QA guidance - Mentor, not manage, junior engineers and technical staff - Support business development efforts - Help grow the geotechnical practice Candidate Must Have ✅ Active Professional Engineer (PE) License ✅ 10–15+ years of Geotechnical Engineering experience ✅ Proposal writing experience ✅ Client-facing experience ✅ Strong technical communication skills ✅ Valid driver's license This is a senior leadership and succession hire—not an individual contributor role. Candidates should demonstrate: - Technical leadership - Client relationship management - Business development ability - Experience leading projects from proposal through completion The client is looking for someone who can eventually lead and grow this practice—not simply perform engineering work.
