Job Title: Senior IBM DOM Developer – Supply chain DTC
Location:Hyderabad, India
Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Senior DOM Developer specializing in IBM Sterling Order Management (DOM), who will architect, configure, and integrate high-performance order orchestration solutions driving end-to-end fulfillment for DTC operations. This role will also own backlog implementation, support DevOps environments, and align technical solutions with business goals. This role requires close collaboration with onshore teams and stakeholders to ensure seamless integration and delivery of technical solutions. The candidate must be willing to work on site 4 days a week in Hyderabad, during US EST time zone.
Key Responsibilities:
- System Design & Configuration: Customize Sterling DOM modules (sourcing, scheduling, payments, etc.), design new OMS components and microservices leveraging Java/J2EE, XML, REST/SOAP, and middleware tools
- Integration & Orchestration: Seamlessly integrate OMS with ERP, eCommerce, CRM, WMS, and logistics systems, ensuring robust API/service-oriented architecture
- Backlog Management & Delivery: Translate business and functional requirements from the DTC backlog into prioritized development tasks, implement updates, and track progress.
- Performance & Scalability: Optimize system performance, configure cloud/containerized deployments (e.g., Docker/Kubernetes), and tune SQL/analytics for high availability .
- DevOps & Support: Participate in CI/CD pipelines, environment monitoring, code reviews, and on-call rotations for live production systems
- Testing & Quality Assurance: Create and support unit, smoke, UAT, and performance tests; collaborate with QA teams on automated frameworks.

- Documentation & Training: Author detailed technical design documents, system diagrams, and user guides; conduct knowledge transfer to stakeholders and support teams.
- Quality Assurance: Implement and maintain quality assurance processes to ensure the highest standards of technical delivery.
- Communication: Facilitate effective communication between offshore and onshore teams, ensuring transparency and alignment on project status, risks, and issues.
- Problem Solving: Proactively identify and resolve technical and operational challenges to ensure smooth project execution.
- Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, providing regular updates and addressing any concerns or requirements.
## Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Experience: 7+ years of experience with IBM Sterling DOM/OMS (version 10+), order fulfillment, and DTC supply chain workflows.
- Technical Skills: Strong skills in Java/J2EE (Servlets, EJB, JSP), XML/XSD/XSL, REST/SOAP APIs, SQL, and asynchronous messaging (MQ, JMS). Experience with containerized/cloud platforms (Docker, Kubernetes, AWS/Azure/GCP). Proficient in UNIX/Linux environments and middleware (WebSphere, MQ Series) .
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to addressing challenges.
- Cultural Awareness: Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment and manage teams across different time zones.
- Familiar with agile methodologies and SDLC best practices.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, able to bridge business and technical teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
