POSITION SUMMARY
Performs hands-on development, corrective maintenance, and enhancement work across the federal application suite — taking assigned tickets from triage through coded fix, testing, and production deployment in support of Operations and Maintenance contract.
DUTIES
· Develop, test, and deploy bug fixes and feature enhancements for Business Portal.
· Triage and resolve Azure Boards / HEAT ticket assignments; perform root-cause analysis on contractor-introduced defects.
· Build and promote code through development and test environments into pre-production and production.
· Apply patches and version upgrades to assigned components, generally scheduled outside business hours.
· Update technical documentation, data dictionary entries, and ERDs when changes affect the database schema.
· Support UAT script preparation and execution alongside QA / IV&V activities.
· Contribute to the contract's backlog burn-down commitment (minimum 75 prioritized legacy tickets resolved and deployed to production).
· Participate in sprint-based prioritization meetings and release / change-control packaging.
EDUCATION
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum of 8 years of applicable experience
- Strong hands-on development experience in Microsoft .NET Framework and .NET Core (APIs, enterprise web applications).
- Angular.
- SQL Server / T-SQL.
- JavaScript, JSON, HTML, XML.
- Git, GitHub, and Azure DevOps (Boards, CI/CD pipelines).
- Object-Oriented Design and Test-Driven Development practices.
- Experience maintaining and enhancing legacy enterprise .NET Framework codebases.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Familiarity with Elasticsearch and/or Redis.
- Experience supporting public-facing government or regulated industry web portals.
- Exposure to Section 508 accessibility remediation.
- Experience working in a fixed-price, SLA-driven O&M environment.
