Your work may range from single-node Linux package installations to large reference architectures using infrastructure as code and configuration as code, as well as migrations from multiple version control systems to GitLab software as a service or self-managed environments. You'll use a consultative approach, working with customers and GitLab Product and Engineering teams to identify the best path to customer success and improve GitLab features and processes. ## What you’ll do - Use a consultative approach to assess each customer's goals and identify ways to achieve their vision more effectively and efficiently. - Deliver statements of work with guidance from Technical Architects, including installing and configuring GitLab solutions in customer environments. - Develop and implement migration plans for customer version control systems and data. - Provide technical training remotely or on-site, and create implementation, maintenance, and customer-specific guidance. - Create and maintain artifacts, templates, documentation, and scripts for service delivery, training, implementation, and customer workflows. - Document and communicate customer opportunities, risks, and status updates to project and account teams. - Collaborate with GitLab Product and Engineering teams to support customer success and contribute improvements to GitLab features and processes. - Support Engagement Managers with quoting and scoping statements of work, and document improvements to Professional Services engagement processes. ## What you’ll bring - Professional experience with one or more infrastructure as code or configuration as code technologies, such as Terraform, Ansible, Packer, Puppet, or Chef. - Professional experience with one or more cloud providers, such as Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud Platform, or Microsoft Azure. - Experience using, deploying, or configuring GitLab. - Proficiency in written and spoken English sufficient for success in a remote and largely asynchronous work environment. - Effective communication skills, including the ability to build consensus with peers and provide clear status updates. - A solution-oriented, consultative approach and comfort managing multiple customer engagements in a fast-paced environment. - Strong organizational skills and the ability to work in a self-motivated, self-managing way within a fully remote organization. - Willingness to travel approximately 20% of the time. ## About the team The Professional Services team helps customers implement, migrate to, and get value from GitLab through technical services, training, and advice. The team works directly with customers and collaborates with Product, Engineering, Technical Architects, Engagement Managers, project teams, and account teams to deliver successful engagements and improve how GitLab supports customer needs. #### How GitLab Supports Full-Time Employees - [Benefits to support your health, finances, and well-being](https://about.gitlab.com/handbook/total-rewards/benefits/general-and-entity-benefits/) - [Flexible Paid Time Off](https://handbook.gitlab.com/handbook/people-group/time-off-and-absence/time-off-types/#flexible-paid-time-off-pto) - [Team Member Resource Groups](https://handbook.gitlab.com/handbook/company/culture/inclusion/tmrg-tmag/) - [Equity Compensation & Employee Stock Purchase Plan](https://handbook.gitlab.com/handbook/total-rewards/stock-options/) - [Growth and Development Fund](https://handbook.gitlab.com/handbook/people-group/learning-and-development/growth-and-development/) - [Parental Leave](https://about.gitlab.com/handbook/total-rewards/benefits/general-and-entity-benefits/#parental-leave) Please note that we welcome interest from candidates with varying levels of experience; many successful candidates do not meet every single requirement.
