Job Description

abra professional services is seeking a Senior RT Embedded Developer. We are looking for a skilled Senior RT Embedded Developer to design and implement software solutions for embedded systems, with expertise in C/C++ development in VxWorks and Linux environments. This role requires strong hands-on experience in Real-Time Embedded development, software design, hardware integration, and working with complex multidisciplinary systems. A full-time on-site position based in the Rehovot / Ness Ziona area, Israel. Key Responsibilities: 1. Develop software for Real-Time Embedded systems in VxWorks and Linux environments. 2. Develop interfaces with various system components and support complex integrations. 3. Analyze, implement, and document software solutions according to system engineering requirements. 4. Participate in all stages of the development lifecycle, from maintaining existing C code to developing new modules. 5. Work closely with multiple disciplines across the organization and develop application software that interfaces with hardware. Professional requirements: • At least 3 years of experience in C/C++ development – mandatory. • Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Communication Engineering – mandatory. • Experience developing in Real-Time Embedded environments, including VxWorks and Linux – mandatory. • Experience with OOD and familiarity with OO Design Patterns – mandatory. • Experience working with C, C++, VxWorks, Linux, TCP/UDP, and OOD – mandatory. • Willingness to travel for integration activities in Israel and abroad – mandatory. • Familiarity with TCP/UDP protocols – advantage. • Experience working with system engineering and testing teams – advantage. Personality requirements: • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a team. • Ability to work independently and learn quickly. • Proactive mindset and strong ownership. • Deep system-wide understanding.
