## Overview
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary administrator and technical owner of Salesforce and Certinia platforms
- Design, develop, test, and deploy custom Salesforce functionality using Apex, Lightning Web Components, APIs, and declarative tools
- Manage Salesforce security, user provisioning, permission structures, and compliance requirements
- Configure and maintain Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and Certinia applications
- Develop workflows, automations, approval processes, and integrations that streamline business operations
- Build and maintain dashboards, reports, forecasting models, and executive reporting capabilities
- Support Finance and Operations teams with Certinia configuration, enhancements, and troubleshooting
- Partner with Sales leadership to optimize opportunity management, quoting, forecasting, and pipeline visibility
- Lead platform enhancement projects from requirements gathering through deployment
- Ensure data quality, governance, and platform scalability across all business units
- Troubleshoot and resolve platform issues while providing ongoing user support and training
- Support system integrations with ERP, financial systems, collaboration platforms, and third-party applications
- Maintain technical documentation, system architecture diagrams, and administrative procedures
- Evaluate new Salesforce and Certinia capabilities and recommend improvements that drive business value

About the Role
Digital Compass is seeking a Senior Salesforce Developer to join our Operations team. We are looking for a highly skilled Salesforce professional with deep expertise in Salesforce administration, platform development, automation, integrations, and Certinia (formerly FinancialForce).
The successful candidate will serve as the technical owner of our Salesforce ecosystem, ensuring the platform supports the needs of Sales, Finance, Operations, Professional Services, and Executive Leadership. This individual will be responsible for designing, developing, administering, and continuously improving Salesforce and Certinia to drive efficiency, automation, scalability, and business insight.
This role requires both strategic thinking and hands-on technical execution. The ideal candidate understands how to translate business requirements into scalable platform solutions while maintaining security, performance, and governance standards.
This role supports the organization by:
- Administering and optimizing the Salesforce platform across Sales, Finance, Operations, and Services teams
- Managing and enhancing Certinia (FinancialForce) applications and business processes
- Designing and developing custom Salesforce solutions using Apex, Lightning Components, Flows, and integrations
- Automating business processes to reduce manual effort and improve operational efficiency
- Supporting executive reporting, forecasting, and business intelligence initiatives
- Ensuring platform security, compliance, scalability, and data integrity
- Collaborating with stakeholders to align system capabilities with business objectives
- Providing technical leadership for Salesforce architecture and platform strategy.
## Requirements
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of Salesforce Administration experience
- 5+ years of Salesforce Development experience utilizing Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Web Components, and Salesforce APIs
- 3+ years of Certinia (FinancialForce) administration and configuration experience
- Experience designing and supporting Salesforce integrations with third-party applications and enterprise systems
- Strong understanding of Salesforce security architecture, sharing models, profiles, permission sets, and governance best practices
- Experience building and maintaining Salesforce Flows, Process Automation, Validation Rules, and Approval Processes
- Experience supporting Sales Cloud and Service Cloud environments
- Strong SQL, data management, and reporting experience
- Experience gathering requirements and translating business needs into technical solutions
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Must be willing to transition from an initially remote work arrangement to a hybrid schedule in the Cincinnati, OH area as business needs require.
