Job Description

## Company Description Ubisoft is a global leader in gaming, with teams across the world creating original and memorable experiences — from Assassin’s Creed and Rainbow Six to Just Dance and more. We believe that diverse perspectives help both players and teams thrive. If you’re passionate about innovation and pushing the boundaries of entertainment, join us on our journey and help create the unknown! ## Job Description At Ubisoft, the Online Services – Player Identity team is looking for experienced software developers to help build and evolve the services that power player identity across Ubisoft games and online experiences. Ubisoft Accounts are a critical component of our online ecosystem and are used across most Ubisoft titles. They play a central role in the player experience by enabling progression, access to services, social interactions, and more. Our account ecosystem is closely integrated with authentication and profile services, forming the foundation of identity and access management across the Ubisoft platform. The team is responsible for delivering reliable, secure, and scalable account services while ensuring seamless integration with authentication and profile systems. We also develop and operate services that track user actions, helping customer support teams efficiently investigate and resolve player issues. As these services support several strategic initiatives across Ubisoft, you will contribute to the design and development of robust, scalable, and secure solutions. You'll tackle challenging technical problems and help deliver simple, effective solutions within a complex distributed systems environment. In this role, you will work with modern technologies and development practices, including: - .NET Core - Docker - AWS (Aurora RDS, ElastiCache Redis) - AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claude Code) - Infrastructure as Code (IaC) - CI/CD pipelines (GitLab) - SonarQube - Grafana - Kibana - React Experience with C++ is considered a strong asset, as part of the role may involve contributing to the development of our SDK. Experience with React is also valuable for building and maintaining internal web-based administrative tools that interact with our services. If you enjoy designing RESTful APIs, working with microservices on AWS, solving large-scale technical challenges, and collaborating within a DevOps culture, we'd love to hear from you. Responsibilities - Participate in all phases of software development, including analysis, design, implementation, testing, integration, debugging, deployment, and support of online services. - Estimate development effort and contribute to delivery planning. - Provide high-quality support for production systems and live services. - Collaborate closely with team members and cross-functional partners. - Ensure proper integration of account services with related platform systems. - Assess technical risks and evaluate the impact of architectural and implementation decisions. - Stay current with emerging technologies and best practices in online services, gaming, cloud computing, and web development. ## Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience. - Significant professional experience in software development, including experience designing, developing, and supporting production systems. - Strong experience with C# and .NET Core. - Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs and distributed systems using a microservices architecture. - Experience with cloud-based services and modern infrastructure technologies, preferably AWS. - Experience working with containerized applications and technologies such as Docker. - Experience with modern software development practices, including CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, code quality tools, and version control systems. - Strong understanding of software architecture, scalability, reliability, performance, and security principles. - Experience troubleshooting and supporting production systems in a live-service environment. - Ability to assess technical trade-offs, risks, and impacts when making design and implementation decisions. - Strong collaboration and communication skills, with experience working effectively in cross-functional teams. - Ability to work independently, take ownership of technical initiatives, and drive solutions from concept to delivery. - Curiosity and willingness to stay current with evolving technologies, development practices, and industry trends. Preferred Qualifications - Experience with C++ and SDK development. - Experience with React and modern web application development. - Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC). - Experience with AWS services such as Aurora RDS and ElastiCache Redis. - Experience with DevOps practices and operational ownership of services. - Experience with observability and monitoring tools such as Grafana, Kibana, and SonarQube. - Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot or Claude Code. - Experience working on large-scale online platforms, SaaS solutions, or gaming services.
