Our partner is looking for a Senior Software Developer - Real-Time Processing Platform based in Canada. It is an ideal opportunity for an experienced software engineer passionate about distributed systems, real-time processing, and solving challenging technical problems. ### Accountabilities - Design, develop, and enhance core components of large-scale real-time processing and detection platforms. - Build and maintain distributed systems capable of processing and analyzing trillions of events per day with high reliability and performance. - Develop solutions across event processing systems, detection frameworks, correlation platforms, and stream-processing infrastructure. - Solve complex engineering challenges related to scalability, latency, throughput, reliability, and cost optimization in cloud-native environments. - Contribute to the architecture and technical direction of next-generation platform capabilities. - Deliver secure, high-quality, production-ready software and operate systems at significant scale. - Collaborate with engineering teams, security specialists, threat researchers, and other stakeholders to improve platform effectiveness. - Drive continuous improvements in system performance, reliability, and operational excellence. - Participate in technical decision-making and help establish engineering best practices. - Mentor and support other developers by sharing knowledge and promoting a culture of ownership, quality, and continuous learning. - Take ownership of complex technical initiatives from design through implementation and production deployment. ## Requirements - 5–10+ years of professional software development experience. - Proven experience designing, developing, and operating complex distributed systems at scale. - Strong background in real-time data processing architectures, high-throughput systems, and event-driven platforms. - Experience delivering production-grade software solutions end-to-end with a high level of autonomy. - Strong programming skills in one or more languages such as Golang, Python, or Java. - Experience building and deploying applications in cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or GCP. - Proficiency with containerized technologies including Docker and Kubernetes. - Experience working with microservices architectures and CI/CD environments. - Familiarity with event-streaming and messaging technologies such as Apache Kafka, Apache Flink, Spark, Redpanda, RabbitMQ, SQS, or similar platforms is an asset. - Experience with cybersecurity, observability, telemetry, or other data-intensive technology environments is preferred. - Strong understanding of software architecture, engineering principles, and scalable system design. - Passion for building high-quality software and solving complex technical challenges. - Ability to collaborate effectively within remote, cross-functional engineering teams. - Strong communication skills and ability to explain technical concepts clearly. ## Benefits - Competitive compensation package with a base salary range of 75,000 to 246,000 CAD annually, depending on skills, experience, and location. - Additional compensation opportunities including variable incentives and equity grants. - Fully remote work opportunities within Canada. - Flexible time off and paid volunteer days. - Comprehensive private benefits plan including medical, dental, mental health, disability, life, and AD&D coverage. - Employee Assistance Program with mental health support services. - RRSP matching program. - Fertility support and paid parental leave. - Professional training and career development opportunities. - Opportunity to work on innovative cybersecurity solutions protecting organizations worldwide. - Inclusive and collaborative culture that values diverse perspectives and employee growth.
