Position Summary As a Senior Software Development Engineer , you will participate in an Agile Product Team of 6-10 people and work with the team to build high-quality, usable products to customers and stakeholders in the Claims and Payments team (Aetna). You will help educate both business and technology personnel on the agile development process and create products from discovery and framing through iterative development and delivery. You will also maintain a user-centered and business-as-priority approach in design perspective and practice. A firm understanding of Java development principles and agile methodologies is crucial for success in the role. The candidate should be able to develop both frontend and backend code utilizing industry best practices delivering efficient, optimized, user friendly and reusable code. Required Qualifications - 5+ years of software development experience in enterprise/web applications - 5+ years of experience as full stack developer in Java-based technologies including microservices, FAST API and spring boot framework /REST - 4+ years of experience Cloud Technologies like Azure, GCP or other public cloud services and Knowledge of open-source packages especially those provided by Google - 3 + years of experience in React, React TypeScript, React JS, Python, Nodejs or other front-end frameworks; ability to develop effective engineering practices and processes with responsive UI design and development - 3+ years of experience in Agile development practices Preferred Qualifications - Experience leading projects as a team lead - Experience with emerging cloud platform technologies such as: Google Cloud, GKE, Google DBs (BigQuery, Spanner, BigTable) or other PaaS technologies - Adept at execution and delivery (planning, delivering, and supporting) skills - Adept at business intelligence - Adept at collaboration and teamwork - Adept at problem solving and decision making skills - Growth mindset (agility and developing yourself and others) skills Education Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience (HS diploma + 4 years relevant experience) Anticipated Weekly Hours 40 Time Type Full time Pay Range The typical pay range for this role is: $92,700.00 - $185,400.00 This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.
