Job Description

Minimum qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience. 5 years of experience with software development in C++ and Java. Experience in imaging-related domain such as image processing, computer vision, or computational photography. Experience in implementing image processing pipelines and managing concurrency for mobile features. Preferred qualifications: Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field. 5 years of experience with data structures and algorithms. Experience applying computer vision algorithms and ML perception toward product. Familiarity with computational camera/imaging/photography concepts and algorithms. Understanding of the challenges in developing for mobile devices, including managing compute, power, and latency. In this role, with your technical expertise you will manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables. You will design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance software solutions. Google's XR team is at the forefront of the next major leap – the convergence of AI and XR. This is more than just new devices – it's about reimagining how we interact with the world around us. We're building a future where lightweight XR devices like smart glasses and headsets pair with helpful AI to augment human intelligence, offering personalized, conversational, and contextually aware experiences.Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities Work as a member of a cross-organizational multi-disciplinary team developing full stack vision and imaging/camera solutions for XR devices. Optimize across the software layers in tuning quality, latency, and power efficiency. Evaluate and develop technologies and their product application to shape next generation product features, specifications, and system architecture. Collaborate cross-functionally with UX, product, physical design, and market research in both design and engineering, to progress solutions from investigation to shipping product. Work beyond organization in collaboration with Google Research, Android, and external partner teams to develop and leverage advanced technologies to deliver high quality solutions.
