## Responsibilities MaxLinear is recruiting a Senior Field Applications Engineer based in China to drive customer design wins and grow company revenue through deep technical expertise and outstanding cross-party communication & interpersonal capabilities. In this role, you will focus on: - Collaborate closely with MaxLinear’s Sales, Marketing, Application Engineering teams and Business Units to capture design wins at key customer accounts - Serve as the primary technical liaison with core customer engineering teams, covering the below workstreams: - Promote MaxLinear product portfolio, predominantly data center PAM4 DSPs, Drivers and TIAs - Review product specs and application circuit design requirements; provide technical guidance for performance optimization for customers - Deliver lab testing and on-site technical support, conduct troubleshooting to resolve customer technical roadblocks - Collect, organize and summarize customer technical demands to support internal industry trend research and technical strategy reviews - Support internal product development initiatives: - Conduct pre-release validation of hardware and software builds prior to customer shipment - Partner with customers and internal QA, Application Engineering and R&D teams to identify, replicate and resolve product quality issues - Strong self-learning ability and solving field issues under tight deadlines and high-pressure scenarios ## Qualifications - Minimum 3 years of hands-on optical module development experience - Capable of independently debugging software issues; proficient in SPI and I2C communication protocols - In-depth expertise in fiber-optic communication systems is highly preferred - Practical experience working with various network switches and NIC adapters is preferred - Direct project experience with PAM4 DSP, CDR, TIA, Driver and PIC components - Familiarity with Python scripting is a plus ## Company Overview MaxLinear is a global, NASDAQ-traded company (MXL) where the entrepreneurial spirit is alive and well.
