Job Description

As a Senior Technical Product Manager for AWS Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2), you will be responsible for driving the strategic direction and technical roadmap for one of AWS's core cloud computing services. You will work closely with engineering, business, and customer teams to identify customer needs, translate them into product requirements, and deliver innovative solutions that exceed customer expectations. Key job responsibilities Serve as the technical subject matter expert for the EC2 service, with a deep understanding of its underlying architecture, features, and capabilities. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, sales, marketing, and support, to gather customer insights, define product strategy, and prioritize the product roadmap. Translate complex technical requirements into clear and actionable product specifications, ensuring alignment across the organization. Continuously monitor industry trends, competitive landscape, and customer feedback to identify opportunities for product enhancement and innovation. Effectively communicate product vision, roadmap, and key initiatives to both internal and external stakeholders, including senior leadership. Act as a technical advocate for customers, representing their needs and challenges to the product development team. Develop a comprehensive understanding of the broader AWS ecosystem and how EC2 integrates with other AWS services. Provide technical guidance and support to the sales and professional services teams to assist with complex customer engagements. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and execute successful product launches, driving adoption and customer satisfaction. ## Basic qualifications - Bachelor's degree in mathematics, engineering, statistics, computer science or a related field - Experience translating customer needs into innovative and detailed product requirements for customer-facing online and mobile products/services - Experience leading cross-functional teams across engineering, operations, and field execution through launch readiness and go-live phases, or experience in similar environments - Serve as the technical subject matter expert for the EC2 service, with a deep understanding of its underlying architecture, features, and capabilities. ## Preferred qualifications - MBA, or Master's degree - Experience and technical expertise (design and implementation) in cloud computing technologies - Experience that includes strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities - Experience working in a fast-paced work environment - Experience in written and verbal communication skills to communicate with technical and non-technical audiences, including senior leadership - Experience developing technology solutions and evangelising end-to-end technology roadmaps that guide IT transformations toward cloud computing Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
