Minimum qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Design (e.g., Interaction, Graphic, Visual Communications, Product, Industrial), HCI, a related field, or equivalent practical experience. 6 years of experience in product design and UX design. Experience designing for consumer-facing mobile applications or data-heavy systems. Portfolio highlighting design thinking and execution. Preferred qualifications: Experience in integrating AI/Generative AI capabilities into user-facing products. Ability to drive the design process for ambiguous or emerging areas and define scalable solutions for intricate problems. Responsibilities Own the design for critical projects within the devices area. Design for systemic, ecosystem-wide scale, establishing reusable patterns, principles, and design systems while partnering strategically with OEMs to elevate the global Android onboarding experience. Drive end-to-end UX strategy and separately lead complex, ambiguous Android Onboarding domains (including Onboarding and Settings design libraries, and device life-cycle experiences) from initial discovery through post-launch iteration. Elevate and own the Onboarding design system, ensuring strict visual and interactive consistency, accessibility, and scalability across the broader Android ecosystem.
