Job Description
About Overdose.
Overdose is a global digital commerce agency working with some of the largest and most ambitious retail and B2B brands across Australia, New Zealand and further afield. We design, build and migrate commerce platforms, run marketing, SEO and GEO (AI Search), have a scaling Data practice, and we increasingly do all of it AI-native.
We call this Complete Commerce.
The Opportunity
This is a graduate level opportunity to build a career in SEO, working closely with the SEO Lead and SEO Manager as part of a growing Auckland team. You'll get real exposure across audits, keyword research, content strategy and reporting from day one, with senior support close by while you find your feet.
As our client base grows, you'll play a direct role in keeping clients on track, spotting opportunities early, and helping turn data into recommendations clients can act on via Google Search and AI Discoverability.
### What you’ll bring:
This is an entry point into SEO, so we're looking less at a long CV and more at how you think, communicate and learn.
You will probably have:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, comfortable presenting and explaining ideas clearly.
- A genuine interest in SEO and how search engines work, even if your hands on experience so far is limited.
- A proactive, self motivated approach to learning with a strong appetite for solving problems and learning on the job.
- Comfort working with data, using tools like Google Analytics, Search Console or Excel to spot trends and analyse large data sets
- A creative mind set across strategy, bringing ideas to clients and formalising content strategies that resonate with Users and Search Engines/AI Platforms.
- An interest in using AI tools to work smarter and more efficiently.
- The ability to juggle multiple tasks and deadlines, while knowing when to ask for help.
### What you’ll own:
- Client Communication: Support day to day client contact across email, Slack and Teamwork (Project Management Platform), including performance updates, WIP Updates and supporting client queries.
- SEO Campaign Management: Plan, scope and track SEO clients in Teamwork, keeping timelines and progress visible to the team.
- Strategy & Opportunity Identification: Help identify growth opportunities and shape strategies and business cases alongside senior team members for your pool of clients..
- Technical Execution: Run technical seo audits, keyword research, off-site optimisation and content led strategies to build site authority.
- Reporting: Prepare monthly and quarterly client reports, translating data into clear recommendations.
### Why Join the OD Crew?
We work by design, not by default. A select client model means the work is deliberate, the relationships are real, and your impact is measurable.
Work with household New Zealand brands ranging from Fashion, Homeware, Outdoor, Travel and more industries.
Being AI-native is not a positioning line. It shapes how every person here delivers. You will have the tools to move fast and a team that builds with AI every day.
We are serious about people. A safe, supportive environment shapes how we work, grow and lead. Real ownership. Direct access to leadership. A team worth showing up for.
The role perks and benefits:
- Hybrid working arrangements.
- Two Wellness days per year.
- Additional day of leave to celebrate your birthday.
- Annual training allowance.
- Access to globally recognised courses and programs.
- Parental Leave support that goes beyond the standard.
If this feels like the kind of work you’d like to do, we’d love to hear from you. Share a piece of work you’re proud of, what impact it had, and how you used AI to help you do it. That’s what matters most to us.
Overdose is an equal opportunity employer. We welcome applications from all backgrounds and are committed to a fair and inclusive recruitment process.
Key Responsibilities

- Plan, scope, and track SEO clients in Teamwork to maintain visibility.
